Willie Mack Stansell III
A Native Up-State South Carolinian and arriving to Beaufort via invitation of the United States Marine Corps in 1983 until retiring in 2015 as an Officer of Marines, I have had the honor of calling Beaufort home since 1987. My wife, Sue-Ella and our children, Mack and Katie, have had the privilege of calling Beaufort home their entire life and are multi-generational Beaufortonian’s. Sue and I married in 1989 in a small downtown Beaufort church and have lived in many beautiful areas that Beaufort has to offer. Be it in Port Royal, the Historic District of downtown Beaufort, off the deep waters of the Intercostal water way on Lady’s Island and the military housing areas of, Marine Corps Air Station, Laurel Bay and Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island. Needless to say, I am entrenched with all the beauty Beaufort has to offer, from the educational institutions, the vast recreational and cultural opportunities, to the deep historical and Real Estate value Beaufort and our surrounding Sea Islands provide.
